Administrative Assistant - The Beacon Fund

Job Description

The Beacon Fund, a fund supported by the Personal Philanthropy Group and the growing investment team of Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join its growing team as an Administrative Assistant.

About the Position
Specific duties include the following:
• Assist with general correspondence, requests for information, creation and updating of files and records and expense reporting
• Scheduling of appointments and meetings, manage calendars, and make travel arrangements as needed for the Beacon team
• Support the chief of staff office with agenda tracking and setting, action item reporting, quarterly and annual report development and other reports
• Other projects as assigned

Walton Enterprises seeks a strong individual with excellent interpersonal skills as well as communications and technical skills. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1+ years experience in a professional setting. The successful candidate will be both a self-starter who knows how to take the initiative, and a collaborative colleague who can work effectively in a small and dynamic office.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years work experience in an administrative role in an office environment requiring interaction with both internal and external “customers”
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, problem solver with a demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and a commitment to customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SQL Server experience a plus

Additional preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in an administrative role in a nonprofit office environment requiring interaction with both internal and external “customers”
