About the Position
Walton Enterprises is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Experiences and Event Designer to join Walton Enterprises’ head office in Bentonville, AR. This person is responsible for shaping our culture where all family members and associates can thrive. This entails designing inspiring experiences across a variety of meetings, events, and learning experiences for the Walton family, their family entities, and associates in the Walton Enterprises family office.

What you will do

Create Meaningful Connections
• Create experiences that connect individual insights to a shared purpose and values
• Create experiences that inspires individuals to connect with each other
• Create meaningful experiences that engage the community (e.g., nature, travel, volunteering, industry tours)
• Create beautiful and engaging spaces to inspire collaboration and meaningful conversations (e.g., meeting spaces, dining, sleeping, travel)

Inspire Creativity and Change
• Understand and design for unique user needs
• Design holistic multi-day events that inspire individual growth and learning
• Design moments that matter throughout the learning journey – from the invitation to completion
• Guide teams to design culture building activities for associates
• Gather user feedback to drive continuous improvement

Design Exceptional Learning Experiences
• Lead strategic planning of associate and family meetings, activities, special events
• Collaborate with a broad network of vendors, suppliers, contractors, designers, global public speakers
• Oversee a team to manage logistics, venue research, audio visual arrangement, food and beverage planning, entertainment, activities, lodging, and transportation

Expected Hours of Work
This opportunity is a career-oriented position. Standard operating hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, yet flexibility in working hours may be required to meet client deadlines and complete tasks. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Some travel will be required. Expense-related items will be reimbursed by the company.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years designing learning experiences
• 3+ years managing people and leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience to work with a high level of confidentiality
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to drive an automobile

Preferred Qualifications to support your success
• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Business, Design Research, Hospitality or related field
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
