Web Content & Digital Media Manager - Art Bridges Foundation

Job Description

Art Bridges is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Web Content and Digital Media Manager. The ideal teammate will be an experienced web content manager with skills in user-centered design, web interaction design, web accessibility, and SEO.

About the Position
You’ll join a top-notch team and manage the Art Bridges website daily, designing new pages, redesigning older content, and ensuring content is published in a timely way and that the user experience is positive. You will coordinate with a diverse group of content stakeholders, outside graphic designers, communication firm, and partners. This role also may from time to time act in an advisory capacity to our regional museum partners.

What you will do
You will be in a unique position to shape Art Bridges web and digital presence and develop a long-term digital strategy. Art Bridges is currently building a new website and has engaged web and digital design firm Bluecadet. You will also be responsible for maintaining Art Bridges web content development and media management standards across all digital media resources, including the website, newsletter, social media, in-gallery digital interactives, and other forms of electronic communications.

Responsibilities
• Web page design wireframes and prototypes
• Coordinate with graphics designers, communications firms, and content stakeholders to proofread content and create/manage digital media assets (images, video, audio)
• Work with digital design firm to build out and enter content for new website
• Manage information architecture and site navigation
• Coordinate with the Art Bridges CEO to define and schedule work
• Adhere to the brand standards of the organization and the creative direction set by the communications and marketing teams
• Develop responsive mobile-first web page designs and test across browsers, platforms, and screen sizes/orientations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and revise plans for digital communications including websites and social media
• Establish and promote user interface and user experience guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Perform content audits, keeping track of outdated/expired content
• Set and maintain SEO standards and practice
• Establish and maintain accessibility practices for all digital properties in coordination with digital content and experience stakeholders
• Analyze and report site use metrics for stakeholders using Google Analytics, Tag Manager.
• Collaborate with Art Bridges’ marketing vendors in reporting analytics
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Helpful Experience Includes
• 3+ years of experience in web content management
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects
• Experience with Javascript, SASS, JADE, or other preprocessors
• Experience as part of a mid-to-large-sized creative team
• Work on a major website redesign and content migration
• Experience with Digital Asset Management systems
• Experience managing digital content for performing arts and/or cultural heritage organizations

Physical demands
• In the work environments described below, position requires working at desk/workstation and utilizing a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Work environment
• Work will be performed in an office environment. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Art Bridges is a new foundation, founded by Alice Walton, whose mission is to share outstanding examples of American art with those that have limited access to them. Art Bridges organizes and administrates exhibitions of American art for display at public and academic art museums of all sizes. These exhibitions draw from Art Bridges’ growing collection, and the collections of partner institutions, foundations, and private collectors.

The exhibitions supported by Art Bridges are engaging, content-rich, and include in-depth educational and interpretive materials. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in web information and page design
• Experience with Wordpress or similar template-based web content management system of equivalent sophistication
• Proven ability to drive complex content development and publication efforts involving multiple stakeholders (including external vendors) to successful and timely conclusions
• Proficiency in web interaction and web page design demonstrating a mobile-first approach
• Proficiency with website design tools such as wireframing and interaction design applications (e.g., Sketch or Balsamiq) and photo editors (e.g., Photoshop).
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps
• Experience developing and redesigning website information architectures and site navigation
• Experience with one or more forms of formal project management methods (e.g., WBS, Kanban) and tools (e.g., SmartSheets, MS Project)
• Comfortable working closely with and taking feedback from graphic design and web development team members
• Excellent visual design skills with an exceptional eye for detail
• Up-to-date with the latest Web design and digital content management trends, techniques, and technologies
