Tax Accountant

Job Description

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Tax Accountant I. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to manage tax returns and compliance reporting.

About The Job
You’ll join a top-notch team and assist in the tax return preparation for pass through entities, trusts, non-profit entities, and individual returns.

What You Will Do
You will assist in the growth of the enterprise by working on the entire tax preparation process as a part of an internal taxation team.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the work-paper and income tax return preparation of pass through entities, trusts, non-profit, gift tax, and individuals.
• Assist in the work-paper and income tax return preparation of various state jurisdictions.
• Assist in income tax planning, projections, and research.
• Assist in foreign tax compliance reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and review of 1099 compliance.
• Become proficient at tax research

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum major GPA of 3.25

Tax: The Tax Department provides a suite of services including partnership, private wealth, federal, and state income tax compliance and planning. The tax team serves as family advisors and assists in tax planning and strategy. They also support Walton Enterprises, Walton Family Foundation, and a variety of businesses.

Basic Qualifications
