Senior Associate - Blue Crane

Job Description

Blue Crane, headquartered in Bentonville, AR, is seeking candidates for a Senior Real Estate Investment Associate position. This position will oversee a portfolio of projects in pre-investment, pre-construction, active construction, and during/post-stabilization. The role will work with multiple teams to provide services and consultation.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

• Perform complex financial analyses of prospective real estate investment and development opportunities. Use analyses to make recommendations for or against new projects.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis of real estate projects (both completed and under construction) already in the portfolio. Prepare financial/portfolio reporting for distribution to investors.
• Manage and support due diligence of real estate investment opportunities. Lead creation of memos for presentation to investment committee. At times, present to investment committee.
• Lead and/or assist with real estate closings.
• Contribute to the development of investment strategies, prospecting, and analysis of real estate investment projects.
• Establish a strong working relationship with development partners, external stakeholders, investment committee, property management, and broader Runway team.
• Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables and for regular update to team and investment committee.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a real estate finance function, investment banking, consulting, or private equity. The candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Real Estate with excellent academic credentials
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills; proven experience as a business manager or relevant role
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
• Outstanding computer skills; specifically, expert in Excel/PowerPoint
• A tendency to be a highly organized self-starter
• Ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
• A record of proactive resolution to financer-related problems
• Experience in investing in/or financing high quality construction of complex multi-pleuse projects
• Ability to express own point of view in a rigorous interactive team environment
• Basic understanding of joint venture agreements and loan documentation
