Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join our team as a Senior Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting, operations and team oversight, analysis and preparation of financial statements and reporting for use by management and other stakeholders.
What you will do
The Senior Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Accounting, who leads financial and operational activities for a multitude of business entities covering a vast array of disciplines. As a crucial member of this team, you will:
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to
Lead a team of senior and staff level positions and ensure proper execution of assignments
Ensure accuracy and accountability for all transactions, financials, filings, and reporting
Analyze and prepare complex financial statements and related schedules
Present multi-faceted information and financial reports, providing additional analysis and information as needed
Collaborate with other departments to prepare financial package presentations and build customized reports
Recognize complex technical issues, reach appropriate conclusions and apply authority to support conclusions
Participate in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention and team-building activities
Present internal and external training and seminars on technical issues
Offer ongoing status updates to management and to the engagement team
Perform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
Strong technical skills, including knowledge and use of Accounting Software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Minimum 10 years work experience in an accounting role within a professional setting, with 3-5 years public accounting experience required
CPA certification or masters degree required
Additional preferred qualifications
Prior leadership experience
3-5 years Family Office experience
3-5 years tax and/or payroll experience
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger experience
Experience using Microsoft GP, Management Reporter, and SharePoint
Work experience with payroll and/or business/individual tax preparation
