Runway Group is pleased to announce an internship program for its OZevents division. OZevents is responsible for creating and executing unique, world-class outdoor racing events in the Northwest Arkansas area. Events may include, but are not limited to, mountain bike races, multi-discipline events (e.g. duathlons, triathlons, pentathlons) and adventure races. Within a three-year period, OZevents will manage directly, indirectly or in partnership with other race event companies approximately 20-25 events per year. Above all, OZevents will focus on creating and executing events that fuse racing, culture and entertainment that showcase the best of Northwest Arkansas.
About the Position
The internship is a six-nine month (but potentially longer) paid internship that will expose the intern with a variety of business issues. Although flexible, the intern will need to commit to 12-20 hours of work per week. Due to the current pandemic environment, a significant part of the internship will require the intern to work remotely.
What you will do
Responsibilities
Assisting the organization to develop a 3-year strategy;
Assisting the organization in budgeting and financial projects to determine whether an event is financially viable;
Assisting the organization to create a charity partners and volunteers program;
Assisting the organization to create and execute unique events that offer experiences to wide group of participants including women, minority populations and under-privileged communities;
Assisting the organization to create corporate sponsorship packages;
Developing target market and other analytical models to determine event pricing;
Working with local government organizations and other non-governmental organizations involved in outdoor sport advocacy; and
Working on select events to ensure safe and attractive events that positively reflect on the OZ Trails brand and the NWA region.
As part of the internship, the intern group will be responsible for creating and leading one event.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; event planning a plus.
Strong sense of personal & professional ethics.
Excellent oral and writing communication skills, and the ability to write for different demographic audiences.
Good video, photography, and graphic skills as demonstrated through personal or professional social media.
PowerPoint/Keynote or other presentation software experience
Excel, database and/or basic financial budgeting and analytical skills
Ability to interact in a start-up environment with high energy
Additional Helpful Experience Includes
Familiar with and involved in Mountain Biking for sport or pleasure
Natural, friendly video presence. Ability to project the Oz Events brand successfully through events, volunteers, and organizers.
Responsible and trustworthy to autonomously complete many assignments outside of the traditional office setting and represent the Oz Events brands in a positive manner.
