Security Associate

Job Description

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Security Associate. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to provide security expertise to Family Members and their Entities, and associates.

About the Position
Security and safety of our family members, our associates, and our physical assets is our highest priority. The successful candidate should possess the ability to react to potentially harmful incidents without notice and provide professional security services. Physical security describes security measures that are designed to deny unauthorized access to facilities, equipment and resources, and to protect personnel and property from damage or harm.

What you will do
You will administer security programs intended to protect the safety and security of family members, associates, and guests.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following)
• Administer access control policy to enterprise workforce
• Initiate corrective measures when access control system malfunctions are detected
• Execute security strategy and champion policy and standards
• Ensure emergency evacuation procedures are taught and exercised to new and existing associates
• Administer security alarm and camera operational capabilities and maintenance
• Collaborate with Property Management Team to ensure facilities security needs are assessed and addressed as appropriate
• Respond to calls for assistance by workforce
• Recognize suspicious mail and packages when alerted and initiate an appropriate response
• Maintain vigilance for incidents/persons threatening disruption or harm in/around workplace
• Oversee onsite third-party guard force
• Effectively liaise with local law enforcement, fire departments, and public safety organizations
• Train receptionist team on security awareness and escalation process
• Provide security support and guidance during board meetings, conferences, and other events where family members, associates, and guests are in attendance
• Administer travel security advice and recommendations to travelers

Who we are looking for

Qualifications required for your success
• 2+ years proven experience as a security associate or related field
• Knowledge of security best practices
• Intermediate MS Office knowledge
• Ability to travel both domestically and/or internationally, if necessary, to support security programs for our family members, family entities, WFF, and WEI up to 20% of time

Additional Helpful Experience Includes
• Domestic and International travel security knowledge
• Commercial/Residential security experience (camera systems, mobile applications, access control systems, alarm systems, etc.)
• Emergency response planning experience
• CPR certification
• Professional certification such as Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional or other professional security affiliations or academic credentials

About the Property Management Department
The Property Management team assists the family members with all property related activities including acquisition, design, and development. They manage a variety of properties including both personal and commercial real estate, vehicles, equipment, and other property related assets throughout the country. The Property Management team also supports the Walton Family Foundation and Walton Enterprises office buildings.

The Property Management Team also has responsibilities to provide insurance and security services for the family, their entities, and WEI.
