Walton Enterprises is seeking an experienced, highly motivated candidate to join the Walton Investment Team (“WIT”) as an Investment Director in Washington, DC.
The successful candidate will support senior Directors and participate in all aspects of multi-asset class portfolio management as part of growing investment office. We are looking for individuals with strong client facing and communication skills who are interested in investments, capital markets, and are comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

About the Team
Walton Investment Team is a dynamic and growing team that specializes in managing family investments and foundation portfolios. Our talented team is based in Washington, DC and collaborates with colleagues in offices around the country. The organization is currently working remotely during the Covid pandemic.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include:
All aspects of portfolio management, from development of investment policy to portfolio construction and day-to-day management of investments and transactions
Creation and presentation of written materials focused on investment and financial issues
Team collaboration and supervision of junior analysts on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of items such as portfolios, investments, and capital markets
Synthesis of information provided by, and coordinating the efforts of, third-party providers including external consultants, tax, and legal
Working across the firm on complex projects

Qualifications required for your success
Five or more years of relevant experience and appropriate investment and capital markets knowledge, including the supervision of junior analysts
Knowledge of a range of asset classes, portfolio types, tax requirements, and investment strategies
Demonstrated project management and analytical skills, including problem solving and strong Excel skills
Superior relationship and client management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
An ability to work independently and in teams
Understanding of multi-asset trade cycles and corresponding operational processes including marketable securities and private investments
Ability to multi-task and lead several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Can identify and resolve complex issues in an effective and time sensitive manner
Manage highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
