Alliance Support Co (ASC) was established to serve the back-office accounting, payroll, and employee benefits functions for nonprofits founded by Alice L Walton. ASC shares staffing and systems from a common pool and bills its services to the participating nonprofits. This new entity provides the highest level of service and support to ensure each organization is equipped to execute its individual mission.

Position Summary
The Payroll Coordinator will coordinate and process payroll for each of the entities we serve, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The Payroll Coordinator will also assist the HR team with the day-to-day operations.
Essential Functions
Ensure proper preparation, accuracy, and timely payroll processing compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Leverage payroll and timekeeping knowledge to deliver solid results and collaborate across the organization.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships with internal and external partners.
Provide training to employees and managers on payroll related matters.
Respond quickly to changing circumstances by breaking down barriers to meet business needs, technology advancements, and shifting regulatory expectations.
Support payroll transformation activities to harmonize payroll and timekeeping processes, enhance automation and implement new systems.
Responsible for determining the appropriate taxability of payroll earnings and deductions, ensuring the payroll system is taxing accordingly.
Assist with state requests and issues, resolve payroll tax matters promptly, calculate adjustments to pay and other various duties as necessary.
Verify W-2s are accurate.
Remain current with payroll tax compliance laws and regulations, enforce requirements, and advise management on needed actions.

Prepare reports from various HR systems for all entities.
Maintain an organized and accurate system of record
Assist with the HR audit process and act as back up for benefits as

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and with 3 to 5 years of payroll processing experience, or in lieu of a degree, 7 to 10 years of payroll processing experience.
Payroll Certification highly
Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local employment
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), with advanced skills in Excel.

Basic Qualifications
