Blue Crane, a development and real estate company headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as Counsel – Real Estate Investments and Development. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to support stakeholders in a transaction-based role.
What you will do
You’ll join a top-notch team and provide legal counsel to the principals and associates of Blue Crane. You will focus primarily on real estate investment, development, leasing and commercial transactions, with a focus on Northwest Arkansas transactions.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Coordinate for the team certain real estate legal matters, including acquisitions, leasing, developments, and joint ventures
Review, draft, and negotiate key real estate agreements, including purchase, construction and development, and lease agreements
Advise the team on a broad range of transactional matters
Track and manage real estate closings
Draft and negotiate various agreements, including investment documents, management agreements, vendor contracts, and confidentiality agreements
Engage and manage external counsel to address substantive legal, regulatory, and business issues as they arise
Participate in development of policies, procedures, and programs and provide guidance on key legal matters
Handle a wide variety of other day-to-day demands and workflow from a sophisticated real estate development and acquisition company
Who We Need
Qualifications required for your success
JD from a top-tier law school
5+ years of experience as a corporate/transactional attorney, including experience with real estate documents and transactions, including joint ventures, development deals, construction agreements, leases, and commercial and residential acquisitions
Familiarity with entitlements and tax aspects of real estate transactions
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
