Job Description

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Director for the Walton Education Coalition (WEC). The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to possess a broad set of capabilities to help develop and support the advocacy and political giving from participating Walton Family members and related entities in education.

About the Position

The Director should have a deep understanding and experience working in federal, state, and local electoral and legislative settings, with knowledge of federal and state regulatory agencies and across political constituencies and divides. You should possess an ability to work with a diverse set of individuals in the private and public sector, non-profit, philanthropic and environment community to achieve key goals.

Who we are looking for

This role requires that you are a person who is flexible and able to receive feedback graciously. You should be comfortable working with a family board that emphasizes interdisciplinary cooperation and the strategic use of political and philanthropic tools. As the Director, you should possess a strong command of policy and the political dynamics at the federal-, state- and local-level.
