About the Position
Walton Enterprises, Inc. (WEI) is seeking a qualified Investment Operations Senior Analyst. The Investment Operations Senior Analyst’s primary function is to serve as an authority on all operational aspects of client portfolios. This involves coordinating with the Investment Team, WEI staff, legal counsel, and third-party stakeholders to and to determine how to best implement the investment team transaction requests and processing documentation to complete those requests. The Senior Analyst also directs and supports the Investment Operations Analysts’ work. The role requires a significant amount of both written and oral communication with and coordination between internal and external stakeholders. The work environment is fast-paced, and deadline driven.
What you will do
The ideal candidate has a background in investment operations, is engaged and interested in the operational aspects of implementing an investment portfolio, and motivated to support the investment team. Successful Senior Operations Analysts analyze information and make informed decisions using knowledge of investment structures and the client portfolios. They exhibit strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, proactively complete work, prioritize tasks, and manage time well, and they are comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of tenure.
Responsibilities
Analyze information relating to accounts, investments, or portfolio structure and convey operational logistics to the investment team to help them make decisions.
Determine operations processes necessary for implementing investment decisions and coordinate with Investment Operations Analysts to complete, execute, and submit all documentation related to investments in client portfolios.
Coordinate with Investment Team, client staff, fund managers, and legal counsel to negotiate side letters and contracts relating to investments.
Serve as a point of contact for third-party stakeholders, such as fund managers, fund administrators, and the custodian bank and respond to questions and complete requests related to client portfolios, delegating where appropriate.
Coordinate workflow of Investment Operations Analysts and maintain oversight of transactions and Operations projects to ensure all are completed as planned. Review Analysts’ work to ensure accuracy of transaction documents.
Review monthly and quarterly performance reports to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with performance reporting group to provide timely and accurate updates and information regarding changes to client portfolios.
Utilize manager/custodian websites to monitor client transactions and cash flows.
Maintain awareness of current investment themes and client interests.
