About the Position
Runway is seeking a highly effective and collaborative Controller. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing team and make an immediate impact within the organization.
What you will do
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and the accounting team of a multi-entity organization that operates in various industries
Own the month-end close process and all associated activity to deliver accurate and timely consolidated financials to management and ownership
Implement, and maintain standardized policies, procedures, and system of controls, and proactively identify and drive accounting process improvements
Guide the process in assessing and implementing an ERP system
Provide leadership and vision for scaling the accounting team and systems infrastructure to accommodate business growth
Support the annual budgeting and planning process, and work with the FP&A team on cash flow forecasting
Coordinate with tax advisors for the preparation of year-end tax returns, assist with other regulatory reporting, and manage special projects as directed by the CFO

Experience and Basic Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Controller
4-year degree in Accounting; CPA and/or Big Four accounting experience is preferred
ERP selection and implementation experience
Strong working knowledge of mid-level ERP packages (e.g., NetSuite, MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to implement effective internal controls, processes, and procedures and lead through periods of change
Solid understanding of multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting
Experience managing an accounting department and a passion for growing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals
