Senior Computer Support Technician

Job Description

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Senior Computer Support Technician. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to support a diverse organization with end user and high touch customer support.

About the Position
You’ll join a top-notch team and be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of user workstations, software and peripherals. This will include a variety of duties, including installation, maintenance, and repair of computers and networks, as well as ensuring that adequate infrastructure is set-up and used to maximum capabilities, including user support and basic training.

What you will do
You will report to the Technical Support Manager, who leads the hardware and audio-visual products, including customer facing services, for a multitude of business entities covering a vast array of disciplines.

Responsibilities
• Execution, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of installs, tests, updates, and maintenance of computer equipment (computers, servers, peripherals and software applications)
• Monitor daily performance of computer systems
• User support and basic training on computer hardware and software, both in person and over the phone to remote users
• Executive level support for office and in-home set ups
• Audio-visual set up and maintenance
• Partner with vendors to solve complex problems with defective hardware products and malfunctioning software
• Provide support for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS environments
• Provide network, printer, and mobile device support
• Provide technical support to family offices and their employees, as well as direct support to principals at their homes and remote locations
• Mentor and trainer to newer and/or less experienced team members

Who we are looking for

Qualifications required for your success
• Bachelors’ degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
• 7-10 years hardware and software support experience
• Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Valid driver’s license

Additional Helpful Experience Includes
• Relevant certifications preferred
• IT teaching and/or training experience preferred
• Prior leadership experience preferred

The Information Technology Department provides a suite of services including hardware and software support, custom application development, cybersecurity, networking and tools for software integration. These services are provided to Walton Enterprises, the Walton Family Foundation and to Walton Family Entities.

Basic Qualifications
