Job Description

Walton Enterprises is seeking a proactive, detail oriented, team- focused, and execution-focused individual to join the team as a Software Engineer. The ideal teammate is creative in his/her approach to solving problems and can work independently.


About the Position

The Software Engineer will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with complete discretion.


What you will do

The primary duty of the Software Engineer is to develop specifications for moderately complex software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software. This person works creatively to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers. This position is responsible for developing, coding, testing, and debugging system software using a SQL server database. Specific duties include:

Essential Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements from business users
• Develop software solutions from those requirements
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing software specifications, documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
• Compile a variety of reports, locate sources of information, devise forms needed to secure data; determine proper format for finished reports
• Complete other projects and assignments as requested by manager

Qualifications required for your success

• 3+ years of full-time professional experience, preferably in an office environment requiring interaction with both internal and external “customers”
• Proficient with various technology platforms, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficient with SQL, database management (SQL server databases), C#, & visual studio – 2019
• Proficient in ETL (SSIS) & reporting software (SSRS)
• Knowledgeable of business intelligence practices & data warehouse processes
• Knowledgeable in financial and accounting practices/procedures
