Who We Are:

Whole Health School of Medicine and Health Sciences will support a diverse group of students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to transform health care at a local, regional, and national level, applying a whole-person approach to health and disease while empowering and equipping those they serve to build care around what matters most and live their lives to the fullest. The Whole Health School of Medicine and Health Sciences is a sister institution to the Whole Health Institute.   

 

The Role:

The Program Coordinator will work with the leadership team of the Whole Health School of Medicine and Health Sciences (WHSOM) to build a free-standing degree-granting medical school in Northwest Arkansas.  The leadership team currently consists of the Founding Dean, Executive Vice Dean, and Vice Dean for Education, the Executive Director of the Whole Health Institute, the Alice L. Walton Foundation Chief of Staff, and two accreditation contractors.

The Program Coordinator will proactively and continuously manage and support operations, projects, and processes in the development and roll out of the WHSOM; effectively implement solutions to improve the projects and processes under his/her management.  The Program Coordinator will provide managerial expertise to support and implement key strategies for strategic initiatives and stay current and abreast of relevant literature in medical education. The Program Coordinator will work closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to accreditation agencies, the Whole Health Institute, local health systems, other schools of medicine, and deans from local, regional, and national schools of medicine to cultivate relationships and implement collaborative practices.

The Program Coordinator will work closely with the leadership team to achieve the goals of building the first medical school in the country based on the principles and practices of Whole Health.
