Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated Senior Advisor, Communications to support our principals and senior executives across the organization as a lead strategist with demonstrated capabilities to maximize impact and minimize risk. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams, manage contractors, and execute tactically at times. The position could office in Bentonville, Arkansas, Denver, CO, Washington, D.C., or Jersey City, NJ.

About the Position
You’ll join a top-notch team and work with a portfolio of principals, impact leaders, philanthropists and organizations with distinct interests, needs and preferences to achieve communications objectives.
What you will do
You will lead and manage work including issue management, building awareness of success and impact, convening like-minded practitioners and funders, and field building.
Responsibilities
Provide counsel on key reputational topics, including but-not-limited-to profile-building and positioning, financial communications, diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), ESG and others, and leading co-development and implementation of programs and plans.
Develop strategic plans for top-tier clients, including messaging and storyline development, holistic multi-channel channel activation planning, and content creation and execution. Manage and work with consultants and contractors on complex projects.
Manage the client relationship for communications, including ensuring projects are completed on budget and on time including onboarding and overseeing third parties.
Develop messages, playbooks, collateral, and other tools.
Lead development and implementation of crisis preparedness and crisis management programs and plans.
Collaborate across a network of partners, including various geographies, practice areas and industry sectors.
Support ad-hoc objectives, events and projects as a member of the team.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications required for your success
7+ years of strategic communications experience with an emphasis on reputation, crisis work, issues management, executive positioning and message development
Experience and success with direct exposure to executive leaders and principals
Demonstrated experience leading work with the practical skills to independently produce deliverables
Additional Helpful Experience Includes
Experience working in communications agencies, consulting firms or other communications advisory organizations
Experience in corporate communications, internal communications, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, thought leadership, executive positioning, issues/crisis management, media relations, media training, C-level exposure and community relations
Preference for excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Spanish

Compensation Range: $161,000-190,000
