The Peel Compton Foundation (PCF), a premier and growing nonprofit organization, located in Bentonville, AR is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as the Director of Human Resources. PCF owns and operates the Peel Mansion & Heritage Gardens, Compton Gardens & Arboretum, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and Osage Park. The uniting mission for these diverse properties is to connect the community through nature, education, recreation, and preservation. The Peel Compton Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
About the Position:
You'll join a top-notch team and support strategic and operational objectives by creating, managing and measuring HR performance standards and best practices. In this new role, you’ll design, organize, manage and plan complex HR projects for the organization plus drive all aspects of HR excellence for the Peel Compton Foundation. You will play a critical role in the day-to-day functional model of the Foundation.

What you’ll do:
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Support diversity, inclusion, and equity work by partnering with senior leadership
Plans, leads, creates, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices: reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
Evaluate engagement through surveys and follow up with leaders on actionable items to address.
Implement and follow up to ensure people policies and processes are legally supported and in compliance with laws at the federal and state level
Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance
Collaborate with resources from the broader network of internal and external constituents
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Support the ongoing development of best practices and tools for HR project management and execution
Ensuring compliance with IRS, Department of Labor, HIPAA, COBRA, and other federal and state regulations and best practices
Assisting cross-functional partners with forecasting of costs and budgets
Advising and assisting with performance, benefit, and compensation reviews and evaluation processes
Who we are seeking:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred
At least 5 years of HR management experience required
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
Previous HR project management experience, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving compensation and employee benefits, employment, HR, and HR policies
Ability to lead through challenging situations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to produce detailed and complex spreadsheets, charts, and presentations
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's employee management software

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
