About the Position
Walton Enterprises is seeking a qualified Analyst to join the Walton Investment Team (“WIT”) in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a dynamic and growing investment office that manages family investments and foundations. We are looking for individuals who are interested in investments, analytics, reporting, and are comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in the investment field and/or has up to 5 years of applicable work experience.
What you will do
You will support Managers and Directors on both the Operations and Investment teams in overseeing performance reporting and workflow processes and will participate in aspects of the oversight of the data systems and vendor relationships. The position involves quantitative analysis with strong analysis skills. Responsibilities
Work closely with various departments in the firm (accounting, technology) to ensure smooth workflow, capture, and reporting of data
Ensure data (valuations, cash flows, transactions) are gathered in a correct timely manner
Participate in oversight of counterparties e.g., investment custodians and data systems
Provide support and training to colleagues related to systems, workflow, data management processes, and reporting requirements.
Participate in developing the firm’s reporting strategy.
Enhance and expand the operational policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications required for your success
Bachelor’s or graduate degree with a record of high academic achievement. Backgrounds may vary; however, candidates must be comfortable with basic financial concepts and enjoy both report design and quantitative work. Typical backgrounds might include economics, accounting, finance, business, or mathematics.
Up to 5 years of work experience, ideally in roles with client service, project leadership, and analytical responsibilities (e.g., valuations and performance reporting).
Strong technical computing skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as a general understanding of databases. Prior experience with accounting systems a plus.

Comfort with large data projects, onboarding and implementing enterprise data systems
