Job Description
Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, initiative-taking, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a People Team Senior People Partner. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to lead company-wide People projects and initiatives, and function as a trusted People Advisor to the Walton Enterprises (WEI) leaders, the Walton Family, and their entity representatives.

About the Position
You will join a top-notch team and help deliver the company’s mission by supporting all WEI associates in their workplace experience, ensuring associates are engaged in their work and living the cultural behaviors, and that associates have the support needed to deliver their goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner.
What you will do
You will oversee all internal diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives in collaboration with our leadership team and associate led DEI committees. You will collaborate with managers across the organization to embed DEI in regularly occurring team meetings. You will set managers up for success with DEI initiatives.
You will design/develop and lead People Projects for the company and for the Walton Family entities, and function as a trusted advisor for Family members. You will support People systems and processes and serve associates at WEI and Walton Family Entities. You will focus on supporting certain Walton Family members and their business entities.
Responsibilities
HR Generalist Responsibilities
Build strategic partnerships with leaders within the organization to inspire, engage associates and create a best place to work.
Build relationships of trust and act as strategic advisors to supervisors across the organization.
Design and recommend HR initiatives, new ways of operating for people processes to Executive leadership and influence leaders across the company to align with a culture of simplicity of operations and high-trust workplace. Ensure risks are known and prioritized and mitigate risk as new initiatives are launched
Design, develop, implement, measure, report and improve the WEI and Business Entity associate experience in collaboration with all leaders and stakeholders across the company to ensure top talent wants to stay and strive at the company. Implement needed changes to the associate experience based on the company’s strategies and associates’ needs. Measure exits to ensure we understand what we can do to retain top talent
Design, develop, implement, and measure approach to help shift WEI from the historic culture towards a high-trust, good-judgment culture with new management approaches, new measurements and new routines and experiences for leaders and associates to drive engagement and better results
Ensure associates feel valued and have a connection and sense of belonging to the company and the company’s mission. Ensure all connection experiences are positive and motivating (connection with leadership, connection with the Walton Family, connection with the culture and mission of the company, and connection with other associates)
Design, develop, implement, measure and report change management process, tools, and experience across all people projects to support the company’s mission and strategic priorities, as well as the People Team’s strategic priorities
Build and refine people processes. Develop playbooks with standardized approaches for use in the different offices to drive efficiency and ensure consistent positive experiences for associates and customers
Develop, implement, and ensure people policies and processes are legally supported and in compliance with laws at federal and state level
Apply decision making and risk management across all company projects and initiatives to ensure associate retention, engagement, and efficiency in operations
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Responsibilities
Partner with other leaders to create an inclusive best place to work at WEI.
Design DEIB strategies and tactics to improve associates’ sense of belonging.
Function as a close advisor and thought partner to the leadership team on issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
Ensure DEI practices and focus are embedded in the priorities and actions of the organization’s operations
Strengthen DEI practices through knowledge sharing and research contributions
Collaborate with HR partners and the leadership team to identify strategic partners who will support the organization’s DEI commitment
Assist in broadening the organization’s reach through accessing diverse networks for communications, recruitment, etc.
Support broader efforts across Walton Enterprises to implement an inclusion and equity learning agenda, teambuilding, and culture-building activities
Instill knowledge and best practices related to racial equity and cultural literacy and other aspects of diversity and inclusion into the organization
Design/develop and lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives for the company in partnership with the leadership team ensuring our organizational practices achieve our DEI vision.
Design a continuous improvement loop for the associate experience, enhancing actual workplace experiences and ensure all associates can optimize their contributions
Engage the hearts and minds of associates to ensure a highly engaged workforce dedicated to our mission
Manage relationships with family members and their entity representatives as assigned. Ensure customers’ needs are met and survey to improve our level of support for them
Design and develop company-wide HR initiatives with playbooks/processes that may be replicated, customized, and adopted by Walton Family Entities for their use (from hire to exit)
Leverage the WEI tools and resources (guiding principles, prototypes, etc.) to customize HR solutions for business entities

Qualifications required for your success
Minimum of 15 years of People/HR experience in leading projects from design and development through implementation, measurement, and reporting
Experience collaborating with senior leaders and staff in driving a DEI vision that aligns with the needs and culture of an organization
Proven leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with organizational mission
Policy leadership, design, and implementation experience
Design and process engineering experience
Proficient in training facilitation and public speaking
Demonstrated budget management and fiscal responsibility
Proficient in use of HR systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Benefits Information*
Compensation Range: $195,000-235,000

Basic Qualifications
