Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated Senior Advisor, Communications to support internal and external stakeholders as a lead strategist with demonstrated capabilities to build strategy from scratch, guide change, and empower and develop leaders and associates. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams, manage contractors, and execute tactically. The position is based in Bentonville, Arkansas.

About the Position
You’ll join a top-notch team and work with executives, functional leaders, and other stakeholders with distinct interests, needs and preferences to achieve communications objectives.
What you will do
You will lead and manage work including developing and overseeing the execution of executive, client, and other enterprise communications.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development of communications strategy to various stakeholder groups.
Engage with senior leaders to develop consistent messaging, themes/topics, style/tone, target audiences and appropriate communications channels.
Identify, write, and edit a broad range of executive-level communications for internal and external audiences, including speeches and talking points, management memos, enterprise communications and associate-related news and information.
Identify and oversee management of tools and channels to maintain dynamic communications and engagement.
Design and develop standards for communications success. Develop and monitor metrics to measure reach and impact of communications and to identify areas of success and opportunity.
Guide internal and external teams to drive communications programs, support events, and manage change.
Provide advice to functional leaders on platforms, messages, issues, and opportunities to strengthen communications.
Collaborate with other members of the communications team to develop and support crisis response plans and scenario planning
Serve as an occasional point of contact for incoming media inquiries and to help triage incoming requests
Develop messages, playbooks, collateral, and other tools to support consistent communications across the enterprise
Collaborate across a network of partners, including various geographies, practice areas and industry sectors.
Support ad-hoc objectives, events, and projects as a member of the team.
Research industry and market trends and identify original and compelling themes/storylines to incorporate into all communications.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications required for your success
7+ years of strategic communications experience with an emphasis on executive communications serving senior executives
Experience and success with executive and senior management; excellent negotiation influencing and presentation skills
Demonstrated success writing executive, client, and other communications for the senior leadership of high-profile executives
Strong project management skills, including the ability to work independently and manage others plus multiple ongoing projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word and PowerPoint, ability develop proficiency in other tools as needed including content management and email marketing programs
Additional Helpful Experience Includes
Experience with digital internal and external communications tools, apps, and content management systems
Experience in corporate communications, internal communications, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, thought leadership, executive positioning, issues/crisis management, media relations, media training, C-level exposure, and community relations
